A contemporary design of a single family detatched house.

The house will be built on a steep slope of 26° on the outskirts of Wienerwald - the Viennese forest in Austria. The location and the exceptional view of the only ski slope in Vienna led to a split-level design solution allowing the main spaces to take advantage of the stunning view. The nature of the slope imposed special constructive challenges to the project including planning for retaining walls and for a reinforced concrete structure. The house is intended to operate as a low energy ecological house heated primarily with a geothermal energy system.
